Who Qualifies?

Work fully remote (with proof of this included)

Your job or freelance work is entirely online and location-independent — and you’ll need to provide proof of this, like a remote work contract or client agreements

We can get more in depth on these below.

Have 3 years of work experience or a relevant degree

You should either hold a relevant university degree to your current position or have at least three years of professional experience in your field- this can be shown either through your diploma or previous COE or client agreements.

Been employed for at least 3 months, with your company operating for at least 1 year

You must show that you’ve been employed or actively working for at least 3 months, and that your employer or clients have been operating for at least one year. This gets complicated but we won't let you down!

Meeting the minimum income requirement

If you're applying from the Spanish Embassy/Consulate in the Philippines, you’ll need to show an annual gross income of €27,216, which is roughly ₱1,687,392 (based on an exchange rate of €1 = ₱62). If you're applying from within Spain, the income requirement is slightly higher at €31,752 annually, or about ₱1,968,624. Keep in mind that if you’re including dependents — like a spouse or children — you’ll need to show additional income, which we break down in more detail below.

Having a clean criminal record.

You’ll need to provide a police clearance certificate covering the past five years of your residence history. For applicants in the Philippines, this means getting an NBI Clearance, which must be apostilled by the DFA if you're applying from the consulate. If you’ve lived in another country during that time, you’ll also need a police certificate from that country.

Basic Document Checklist

Bringing Family? Yes, you can! But you’ll need to show more income:

Unmarried partners, kids, and dependent parents are also allowed if you have the docs to prove the relationship.
